Honest 2026 pricing from a manufacturer that has been making monuments in Ada, Oklahoma since 1936. No funeral home markup, no salesmanship — just what the stone actually costs.
In Oklahoma, buying directly from a monument manufacturer, here is what each type starts at — fully personalized, installed, and warranted:
From $1,204
Flush-to-ground
From $2,800
Standard size, any granite color
From $4,258
Two names, matched design
These are starting prices. Final cost moves up with size, granite color, engraving complexity, and any added options. We give every family a Not-to-Exceed quote, which means the number we put in writing is the ceiling on what you will pay.
For comparison, the same monuments through an Oklahoma funeral home commonly run 40–60% higher. Read the markup breakdown →
From $1,204
Flush-to-ground granite plates, typically 24"×12" or 24"×14". Cemetery-approved across nearly all Oklahoma sections, including all "lawn" and "memorial garden" sections that prohibit upright monuments. The most affordable option that still uses solid granite and proper engraving.
Price moves up with larger plates (36"×14" runs ~$1,800+), specialty colors, and laser-etched portraits.
From $1,600
Granite markers with a raised front edge (bevel) or a sloped front face (slant). Slightly more material than a flat marker, more visual presence, still low-profile enough for cemeteries with size restrictions.
A common mid-tier choice for families who want something more substantial than a flat marker but cannot install an upright.
From $2,800
Traditional standing monument with a polished die (the upright face) set on a granite base. Standard sizes start around 24" wide × 24" tall on a matching base. Custom shapes, religious symbols, scenic etchings, and porcelain portraits all available.
Larger uprights (30" or 36" wide) run $3,400–$4,200. Premium granite colors like deep black or pearl blue add 10–20%.
From $4,258
A single upright die that holds two names, typically for a husband and wife. More material, more design work, and significant cost savings versus two separate monuments. Standard companion dies are 36"–48" wide.
Custom shapes, hand-engraved scenery, and built-in flower vases each add modest cost. Premium granite color is the single biggest swing factor.
From $7,500
Larger, multi-piece monuments for family plots — pillar-style, sculpted, with benches, with multiple dies, or fully custom one-off designs. Sky's the limit on size and complexity.
Custom design work, sculpting, and specialty installation all factor in. We provide a detailed quote after the design conversation.
The single biggest factor. A 30" upright costs noticeably more than a 24" upright — more granite, larger base, larger foundation. Doubling the size roughly doubles the granite cost.
Standard gray and pink granites are the most affordable. Black, blue pearl, mahogany, forest green, and other premium colors add 10–25% because of higher import costs and lower quarry yield.
Simple sandblast names and dates are included. Laser-etched portraits, hand-carved scenery, religious symbols, and custom art add cost in proportion to the labor involved. Long epitaphs do not add much; portraits do.
Installation is included in our Oklahoma service area. For cemeteries outside that radius we add a coordination fee for shipping and partnering with a local installer. Cemetery foundation fees, if charged separately by the cemetery, are paid directly to the cemetery.
Granite color is the second biggest cost driver after size. Here's how our 40+ colors roughly tier out on pricing:
Included at base price
Most common choices in Oklahoma cemeteries. Durable, widely available, no upcharge.
+10–15% over base
Beautiful options with more visual character. Slightly higher import cost passed along.
+15–25% over base
Deep, rich colors. Laser-etched portraits look exceptional on black granite.
We carry samples in our Ada showroom and can email high-resolution color photos of any granite in sunlight. Browse granite colors →
Most Oklahoma families are looking at 8–12 weeks from deposit to installation. Here's how that time breaks down:
We have a design conversation, create your digital proof, and revise until you approve. You see exactly how the monument will look before anything is cut.
Your granite is cut, shaped, polished, and engraved at the quarry and our workshop. This is where most of the time goes — precision work cannot be rushed.
We contact the cemetery, submit the required paperwork and permit applications, and schedule the foundation pour and installation date.
Our crew installs the monument and foundation at the cemetery. We send photos when the installation is complete.
Rush situations (markers needed for a service, for example) — call us. We can sometimes expedite flat markers significantly faster. (580) 309-9045
The monument company price and the cemetery fee are two separate things. Most Oklahoma cemeteries charge some or all of the following — these are paid directly to the cemetery, not to us:
Covers the concrete foundation pour that anchors the monument. Most common at municipal and larger private cemeteries.
Some cemeteries review monument designs before allowing installation. Required paperwork varies by cemetery.
Many Oklahoma cemeteries waive installation fees in veterans sections. Ask the cemetery office directly.
Some private cemeteries require a one-time contribution to their perpetual care fund at installation.
Tell us your cemetery name and we'll find out exactly what they require — and quote you those fees upfront so you have the full picture before committing.
Oklahoma families are often surprised to learn that monument companies and funeral homes are entirely separate businesses — and that buying through a funeral home adds a significant markup to the exact same product.
By law (FTC Funeral Rule), funeral homes cannot require you to purchase a monument through them. You have the right to purchase from any licensed monument dealer and have it installed at your chosen cemetery. Learn more about buying your own headstone →
We do not nickel-and-dime. The starting prices above include everything below:
Monument pricing in Oklahoma is largely consistent statewide — granite is granite. The main variable by location is distance for installation. Here's how our service area breaks out:
No delivery surcharge — our home base
~1.5hr drive — full installation service
~2.5hr drive — full service, no surcharge
~1.5hr drive — full installation service
~1.5hr drive — full installation service
~1hr drive — full installation service
For cemeteries outside our standard service radius, we partner with vetted local installers and coordinate everything — the price difference is minimal. See our full Oklahoma service area →
Many Oklahoma cemetery sections — especially lawn and memorial garden areas — only allow flat markers. Confirm with the cemetery office what is permitted at the specific plot before you fall in love with an upright design.
The FTC Funeral Rule gives you the right to purchase a monument from any licensed dealer. You can buy directly from us and we will handle the cemetery coordination. The funeral home cannot charge you a surcharge for this.
A reputable monument company will quote you a fixed Not-to-Exceed price before you place a deposit. If a company gives you a vague 'estimate' or says final pricing depends on undisclosed factors, ask for clarification or look elsewhere.
Base stone quality (hardness, polish grade, quarry source) determines how well the monument holds up to Oklahoma weather over decades. Prioritize a reputable stone over ornate engraving on a softer or poorly sourced granite.
We see many families wait until the first anniversary or a family gathering to place the order, then feel pressure to rush. The earlier you start the design process, the more relaxed the experience will be for everyone.
We will quote a Not-to-Exceed price you can take anywhere for comparison. No pressure, no sales script.
